A little about my work:
From a distance my work is precise. On closer inspection there is evidence of meticulous hand work, it is a deliberate balancing of craft and precision. I have a need for precision, it is ingrained in me, it is who I am, so I embrace it. It stems from a background in industrial design, and my upbringing in an architectural family. I have a brain that thinks in 3 dimensions.
The central theme in my work is three dimensional form, but working predominantly in two dimensions. I play with perceptions of volume and shadow, crispness and contrast, and geometry that alludes to sometimes impossible forms.
